Life is a journey that brings about many events and circumstances in our lives, some of which may be painful, confusing, and traumatizing. This can leave us feeling stuck, afraid, lonely, and disconnected from ourselves and others. Jess believes that through genuine connection and support, we can heal, grow, and become more fully ourselves. Jess is passionate about walking alongside others who are in pain by creating a safe, trusting, and non-judgemental relationship in order to help them heal and grow. It is through these kinds of relationships that we can explore past and current events that are causing distress and pain.
Jess works from a trauma-informed, experiential and relationally-centred approach, meaning she can combine a warm and safe relationship with the tools and expertise to address stress and trauma on a deeper level than just talking. She has extensive experience working with and witnessing change in foster youth in group homes and women in residential programs.
